What is IPv6?

The Federal Government has adopted a new system for (internet protocol) IP addressing,  They have come up with a new version to with stand the vast growth of internet usage (Internet Protocol Version 6) IPv6.

Any device that connects to the internet requires an IP address, Due to rapid growth of the internet they are quickly running out of IP addresses, IPv6 is the new system that will be critical for the transition to more available addressing for internet usage.  While consumers don’t need to prepare for the transition to IPv6 the communication industry is busy planning for this future event.
